Role Overview

We seek a highly skilled and motivated IT professional to join our IT team of 8 as an IT Services Manager. This role involves managing the school's Service Desk and related services, ensuring efficient IT service delivery, and driving continuous improvement in our IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Desk Management: Oversee the operations of the Service Desk, ensuring efficient first response, follow-up, and resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track service desk metrics, address deviations from SLAs, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Technical Support: Provide IT/AV support to staff and students, troubleshoot issues, and manage escalations for 2nd and 3rd line support.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects, ensuring timely delivery in line with Agile principles.
  • Asset Management: Maintain up-to-date records of equipment, software licenses, and the Loan Device Management System.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Base: Ensure IT documentation is current and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
  • Compliance and Safeguarding: Adhere to the School's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Health & Safety Policy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential:
    • BSc degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • 3-5 years of experience managing IT services in a similar environment.
    • Experience with ITIL and Incident Management.
    • Strong technical background in modern IT systems and data management.
    • Advanced communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Mobile Device Management systems.
  • Desirable:
    • Additional qualifications in Agile Principles, ITIL, or Business Analytics.
    • Familiarity with Systems Theory, Systems Dynamics, and IT Management best practices.
