Summary

The key responsibilities of this role are to build and maintain our global IT infrastructure and strategy. We are rapidly expanding internationally, and this role has the authority to shape this journey for our future from the ground up. This person will work closely with both our external partners and our internal teams to solve information security and technology challenges. They will also be responsible for building a capacity for supporting Windows systems in our Mac-heavy company and integrating them seamlessly into our infrastructure.

The role will implement and lead a Mumbai-based help desk, be responsible for system administration and user support and work alongside C-Suite level leadership.

Billups is a fully remote, distributed team. This position is based in the UK with required travel regularly to Mumbai and occasional global travel throughout the organization.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that support the company’s business objectives.
  • Must be knowledgeable of ISO27001 status, cyber security and SOX2.
  • Manage IT budgets and resources.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Leadership on IT performance.
  • Manage external partners and IT.
  • Manage and oversee all IT operations, including hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity. Including internal audits of hardware and technology equipment.
  • Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees about new features.
  • Work with the Learning and Development Director to implement and maintain an IT onboarding process.
  • Develop phishing and cybersecurity training for all employees and contractors.
  • Ensure timely response to employees for IT related matters.
  • Develop global IT standards that position the company for rapid growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, fluent in English and an understanding of Hindi and/or Marathi.
  • Comfortable with regular Global travel.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and teach.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT trends and best practices.
  • Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical people.
  • Knowledge of best computer security.
  • Strong research and analysis.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university with a degree in computer science, math, or related STEM field and experience working with AWS; 7 or more years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
