Main Responsibilities of an IT Audit Manager

• Assist the organisation in reaching its corporate objectives by conducting independent and objective reviews and producing formal reports on control and risk opinions in line with department procedures and standards.
• Fulfil the audit plan agreed with the Head of Internal Audit and the Audit Committee.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
• Identify and evaluate the organisation’s technology, data and security risks, and provide key input to the development of the risk-based annual internal audit plan.

Qualifications and Skills

• Requirements for the position include a minimum of 8 years of hands-on IT Audit experience in the corporate or private sector, with a specific focus on information security and cyber risks.
• Exposure to the FMCG industry is preferred, as well as experience in a heavily regulated field. Candidates should possess knowledge of cyber-attack techniques and technologies, and stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and threats in cyber security.
• A broad understanding of security controls, along with the ability to audit and assess residual risk exposure to complex threats in specific control environments, is required.
• Additionally, familiarity with Information Security and effective IT Risk & Security Governance is essential.
