Location: Essex / London and surrounding counties ****Company Description:**A leading multidisciplinary interiors subcontractor based in Essex, working in and around London who specialise in providing high-quality interior services to commercial and residential projects are seeking an Intermediate QS to join their team.

Their expertise lies in delivering exceptional solutions in drylining, ceilings, and joinery, enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of spaces for our clients.

**Job Description:**We are seeking a skilled and switched on Intermediate QS to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior services, with a focus on drylining, ceilings, and/or joinery.

While experience in these specific areas is preferred, it is not essential as long as the candidate demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow within our organisation.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our projects, while also contributing to the overall growth and development of our organisation.

**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.

- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.

- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

- Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and addressing any cost variations.

- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimise financial exposure.

- Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project delivery within budget and time-line constraints.

**Requirements:**- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

- 2-5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.

- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Membership or working towards membership with a relevant professional body (e.

g.

, RICS, CIOB).
