Interim Head Of Data in London

Finatal is currently partnered with one of the fastest-growing Wholesale & Retail distribution businesses in Europe, which has recently received circa £50 million in Private Equity funding to accelerate their growth plans through a buy & build strategy. They are now seeking an experienced Interim Head of Data/Advisor to support the portfolio leadership team and private equity investors with building a short-to-long term data platform and strategy. You will directly report to the CEO/CFO and inherit full ownership of their back & front-end data infrastructure – consolidating data from numerous acquired business entities, building a Data Warehouse and establishing an automated BI platform for data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Data Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and supports the buy & build model.
• Data Integration: Oversee the consolidation and integration of data from various acquired business entities, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility across systems.
• Data Warehouse Design & Build: Architect, design, and build a scalable Data Warehouse that centralizes data storage, enables efficient data retrieval, and supports advanced analytics.
• Data Governance: Implement robust data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.
• BI Platform Establishment: Establish and automate a Business Intelligence (BI) platform that provides real-time insights, advanced reporting, and predictive analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the portfolio leadership team and private equity investors to understand their data needs, providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations.
• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend data management technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance data capabilities and support business growth.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor data infrastructure performance, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks to ensure optimal operation.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior data leadership role, preferably within a buy & build context, Private Equity and Multi-site business.

• Strong expertise in data strategy, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms (Power BI preferable).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
