Infrastructure Specialist – Chesterfield / £55,000 - £60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my clients growing ICT Department based in Chesterfield.

We are seeking a versatile Infrastructure Specialist who can navigate multiple coding languages and manage technical relationships with our partner companies.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, fitting seamlessly into our collaborative culture, and possess strong communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Infrastructure Specialist role and responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain systems using SQL for reporting.
• Work with C/AL (Pascal) for Microsoft Navision.
• Utilize JavaScript and Python for website-related tasks (less critical but beneficial).

Hardware Infrastructure:

• Collaborate with our third-party partner to assist with managing our hardware infrastructure.
• Address on-site hardware issues in conjunction with our third-party partner.

Relationship Management:

• Interact and manage relationships with partner technical companies that handle our website, Microsoft Navision, and stock systems.

Technical knowledge

• Proficiency in SQL, C/AL (Pascal), JavaScript, and Python.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Experience in managing technical relationships and projects.
• Proficient communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with third-party partners on hardware infrastructure issues.
• Willingness to work onsite at least three days per week.
