Infrastructure Engineer in London

An exciting Infrastructure Engineering opportunity has become available with a boutique hedge fund in London who are currently expanding their technology team as they move towards the latest cloud and DevOps technologies. This role is for an Infrastructure Engineer with broad experience across cloud computing, servers, networking and DevOps.

You will be working in a small IT team who are responsible for the design, implementation and support of the company wide cloud and infrastructure platforms. This encompasses Azure, Windows server, networking, automation and the desktop technology stack.

You will get the opportunity to work on a number of high profile infrastructure projects and have direct interaction with portfolio managers, senior stakeholders and software development teams to find new solutions to integrate with the existing systems and applications. They have an excellent technology culture and being in a small team, you will get a lot of autonomy when it comes to technical decisions and also encouraged to suggest new ideas for improvement to the business.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Computing, Networking, Physics, Mathematics or similar field
• 3 + years experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Administrator
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Services and exposure to DevOps technologies such as Docker/Containerisation
• Extensive experience with Windows Server
• Experience using Powershell or Python to automate operational tasks
• Knowledge of the latest Microsoft desktop technologies and experience supporting them - InTune, Office 365, AzureAD etc.
