FM Global has an opportunity for an In-House Commercial Property Loss Adjuster to work in our London Operations Claims office based from either the Maidenhead or London Office.

Responsibilities

The role will involve the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Property and Business Interruption claims emanating primarily from the UK and also the wider Operations territory including Middle East and Africa.

With responsibility for developing and maintaining long lasting relationships with our policyholders, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high level of personal credibility through outstanding interpersonal skills and an aptitude for negotiation.

The role will initially have responsibility for loss settlements up to $500,000 before deductibles. It is envisaged that as the successful candidate develops in the role, they will handle a portfolio of more complex and larger losses. The role also provides claims handling support to Loss Adjusters on larger losses. Although office based when not on site, travel to client’s sites will be necessary.

Successful candidates will enroll on FM Global’s adjuster training program participating in formalized training classes in the US, self-study, and trailing experienced Adjusters.

Qualifications

This role would suit an individual currently working within a high-volume claims environment who is interested in developing their career into commercial property claims handling. Degree qualified, successful candidates will be extremely organised and efficient with first class time management skills and thorough attention to detail. With the ability to work on your own initiative and to strict time deadlines, successful candidates will have excellent communication skills with a knack for negotiation.

Progressing to or commitment to gaining ACII qualifications or equivalent would be an advantage.
