HR Business Partner

Dunbar, fully on-site

Full Time (4 day week would be considered), Permanent

Salary £55,000 - £65,000 DOE

Their HR team is expanding, and they are looking to add an experienced HR Business Partner to strengthen their capability where you will be working with stakeholders across your area, as well as feeding into central support functions such as employee services, employee relations, L&D and recruitment to provide support and guidance, ensuring team performance is effectively managed.


You'll handle workforce planning to minimise resource risk, develop future requirements for and work with recruitment to attract talent, focusing on resourcing, talent, and succession planning. As well as this, you will execute reward, development, and organisational design plans to retain talent and ensure succession, maintaining the people plan in line with business priorities and communicating it to key stakeholders for engagement and collaboration. This will include considering diversity and inclusion in your guidance and planning. You will also manage employee relations, communicate with welfare, safety, and union representatives, and support line managers in performance management. You'll also liaise with the performance improvement department to ensure effective implementation of training and initiatives.


We are looking for candidates with proven experience in progressive HR, people management, and unionised environments, with a commercial and pragmatic approach to HR best practices. Extensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices is essential. Ideally, you will also be CIPD qualified.


You must demonstrate expertise in change and strategic consulting, performance and reward management, people development, talent management, and employee relations/engagement. The ability to coach and influence line managers and present data creatively is crucial, as is having the credibility to effectively challenge and influence managers.
