About the Role

MJ Church has a fantastic opportunity for a HSE consultant to work with the business on a short-term contract across South East, at project level. The HSE Consultant, will be a key support function at site level and working with the project team to drive improvement and operational excellence within delivery.

Responsibilities

Business Units

· Ensure compliance with MJ Church management system;

· Assist in the Development of innovative ways in promoting a solid Health & Safety culture and awareness;

· Monitor & Advise project team in regards to legal compliance and industry best practice;

· Advise & assist in the development of Safe Systems of works;

· Work independently or in a team to meet specific requirements;

· Conduct inspections & Audits;

· Conduct training and cultural campaigns;

· Be a leader, one that inspires and upskills those around them;

· Coordinate with client representatives and attend project specific meetings;

· Conduct Employee Consultations;

· Understand and Advise on CDM 2015 related requirements;

· Conduct effective monitoring and reporting regimes in line with contract and business requirements;

· Record and Monitor KPI performance in line with business and contract requirements;

· Collaborate with department heads and project personnel;

· Conduct accident, incident & near miss investigations;

· Work closely with our supply chain and clients to promote and deliver excellence;

· Assist operational teams to provide HSE knowledge and expertise, demonstrating a hands-on approach to influence changes.

· Accident & Incident Management;

· A pragmatic Problem Solver;

· Be self-motivated in order to manage and drive individual work load;

· Capacity to work independently and as a team;

· Understanding of cultural improvement programmes;

· Experience with campaign development and delivery;

· Focus on business improvement strategies;

· Give clear and concise information;

· CDM 2015;

· NEBOSH; essential

· Full UK Driving license.
