Purpose of the role

 

Are you passionate about providing employee support and handling administrative tasks? We are looking for a dedicated HR /Payroll Administrator for a 6 month FTC.

As the Administrator, you will be the main point of contact for all employee-related inquiries, ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

The Administrator will be responsible for weekly and monthly payroll deadlines, handling new starters, salary changes, and absence processing. You will liaise with local sites and the reward committee to update payroll systems, manage the HR Services Inbox, distribute tasks fairly among the team, and collaborate with the Onboarding Coordinator to track probationary periods. Additionally, you will coordinate with payroll, issue template letters, celebrate employee milestones, conduct exit interviews, and monitor certification expiry dates to ensure compliance across roles while enhancing HR documentation through digitalisation.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

The ideal candidate has a passion for employee engagement, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to adapt communication style to fit the audience, confidentiality, and professionalism, a keen eye for detail, strong time management and prioritisation abilities, experience with HR information systems, and a good team spirit. Additionally, they should have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or equivalent. It would be desirable for the candidate to have CIPD Level 3 or be studying towards it, and a Diploma/NVQ in Business Administration.

Street Lighting
Our expertise in installation and maintenance helps improve energy efficiency and reduce running costs. We currently operate lighting contracts for major county and city councils, replacing sodium lanterns with highly efficient LEDs realising significant cost savings.
