Overlooking the Brayford Marina, this contemporary DoubleTree by Hilton hotel offers tranquil waterfront views in a city centre location, at the heart of the medieval city of Lincoln. The hotel comprises of  160 guest rooms,  7 flexible meeting rooms for up 400 delegates,  2 private outdoor event terraces overlookingLincoln Cathedral,  Electric Rooftop Bar,  Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, and a  Fitness centre.

Day in the life of:

Working closely with theGeneral Manager, this role will form a valuable part of the hotel’s executiveteam. You will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of drivingchange, implementing and maintaining high standards and will be a natural leaderto our workforce.

Example KeyResponsibilities:

  • Support everyday activities, planning and assigningwork ensuring to always have the right staffing numbers
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests,team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel’s policies andprocedures and regulatory requirements
  • Support the General Manager in the development,implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotelto ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability
  • Support the General Manager in preparing weekly revenueforecasts and annual budget preparation
  • Make recommendations for capital improvements toenhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty
  • Interact with guests and external contacts includingcurrent and potential clients, government officials, travel industryrepresentatives, suppliers, competitor’s local community members
  • Make sure the hotel delivers the highest level ofguest satisfaction through superb guest services and amenities
  • Acting as the hotel’s guest feedback champion
  • Responsible for driving and auditing hotelcleanliness
  • Line Management for Houskeeping, Maintenance and Front Office
  • Responsible for welfare of the team and positiveculture
  • Driving standards across the hotel (uniform, SOP’setc.)
  • Key part of internal committees regarding the team,community, and guest
  • Undertaking project work
  • Champion and driver of brand standards and qualityassurance performance
  • Holiday cover for the General Manager
  • Supporting the General Manager with driving internal meetingsincluding daily briefing meetings, HOD meetings etc.
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety / FIREplanning and compliance with support from the maintenance team
  • Team member coaching/training alongside Line Management duties
  • Excellentorganisational and leadership skills

Line Management Duties:

  • Carryingout HR duties, such as interviewing, 1:1’s, appraisals, and personaldevelopment of team members
  • Promoteteamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination withother shifts
  • Deliveringtraining and coaching to team members. Spotting re-training needs when theyarise
  • Ensuringthe team’s continual development, taking advantage of any training, workshop,and further education opportunities
  • Appropriateabsence management
  • Rotaduties, in line with the needs of the business
