About Visibly ✌️

Death by PowerPoint remains the primary method of education for over a billion deskless workers worldwide, so we have a unique opportunity to redesign education from the ground up.

Our team is on a mission to make exceptional education available to the people who build and maintain our physical world with a vastly improved user experience that's massively more accessible, effective, and enjoyable—and that's where you come in!!

As an early team member, you'll play a pivotal role in helping our Founder and CEO build and scale Visibly as a team and a business.

You’ll set and deliver the vision for Operations and contribute to projects that help drive business priorities and elevate our entire team.

In late 2023, we raised one of the strongest seed rounds in Europe from tier 1 investors, including Creandum (early investors in Spotify, Klarna and iZettle).

Now, our highest priority is building out a team that pushes each of us to do our very best work and cares intensely about our team and customers.

FYI - We’re a startup, so titles aren’t important. We’re looking for an exceptional leader who is excited about getting hands-on, regardless of title, so this role at other places could be called COO/VP/Director.

What you'll be up to

You’ll keep the house in order: ensuring all key metrics (ARPU, churn, etc.) are accurate, consistent, and available promptly. You’ll also run/oversee our financials, EMI Share option allocation and SEIS and EIS reporting.

You’ll run a tight ship: As a member of our leadership team, you’re comfortable getting hands-on in an early-stage startup environment. You’ll work closely with our founder across the company, overseeing our operations team, including financial reporting, forecasting, treasury, and scenario planning. Company KPIs will be tracked, people will be effectively incentivised, and you'll report to all stakeholders regularly…holding us all to account.

You’ll help us see around corners: You’re excited about data and building dashboards to help us make informed decisions. You’ll also operationalise key areas of the business to become best in class.

You’ll be a force multiplier: You'll take Operations to another level, enabling the CEO and other key leaders to focus on their superpowers. You'll take on a huge range of comapany-building tasks from preparing board decks and advising on commercial contracts to ensuring new joiners are onboarded and helping set up our customers for success.

Overall, you’ll help build and oversee our Operations, including Finance, People and Legal.

Requirements

Sounds like you?
  • You’ll be helping us build our operational system internally, so you should be comfortable taking a first-principles approach.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience inside a startup environment (preferably seed to Series A+), managing Finance & Operations where you’ve proven your potential and wish to bring your career to the next level with a broader remit.
  • A background in accounting is ideal, but a well-rounded commercial outlook and passion data is critical.
  • You have an innate passion for bringing order to scale chaos. You apply your keen eye for accuracy and detail across multiple projects and business areas.
  • You thrive in roles with variety, empowering and enthusing others to be exceptional in their positions.
  • You are excited about building the 0 to 1 machinery of running a company with a strong sense of operational excellence, where collaboration gets stuff done.
  • You possess and insist on others possessing a growth mindset, striving for continuous improvement.
  • You navigate ambiguity well. You are happy to be hands-on to get things done yet equally comfortable contributing to strategic conversations.
  • As a player-coach, you have a collaborative spirit. You can run solo or bring teams from different backgrounds together to deliver on projects.

Valued behaviours

Customer obsession: Customers come first, always. We make every decision with real-world impact in mind.

Ambition: We move fast, deliver excellence, and inspire others to raise the bar

Integrity: We act with good intent, speak plainly and respectfully.

Courage: We are open to failure, take risks, make tough decisions and challenge directly.

Humility: We’re self-aware, never stop learning and make sure the best idea wins.
