Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, the Head of Learning will work with Leadership Team members and People Business Partners to drive the Learning & Development strategy for all CFG Clubs and Business Functions. The focus will be to diagnose, develop and embed core capability that enables the future growth of the organisation.

Your Impact

  • Implement a best in class Learning & Development programme across CFG Clubs and Business Functions. Responsible for programme design, process and systems development, governance, and implementation to ensure core capability is developed across the organisation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and People Business Partners (PBP) to build insight into current levels of capability against future requirements, to identify gaps and risks to the organisation. Develop the strategic functional learning roadmap to build skills and capability where risks/opportunities have been identified, taking into account organisational development maturity diagnostics.
  • Ownership of our digital learning estate; developing this, enhancing reach and evidencing impact. Ensuring innovative technological solutions are used creatively to facilitate learning and knowledge transfer. Where a bespoke approach is needed, coaching leaders to build a personalised learning package where development is targeted, supported and embedded.
  • Develop a robust and measurable business cases for learning and development initiatives. Build reports to measure ROI of initiatives implemented; evidencing embedding of learning, effectiveness of courses delivered by suppliers and commercial benefit to the organisation.
  • Identifying areas of the business where we can best utilise the Apprenticeship pathway to enhance our development proposition and build core skills into areas of business growth
  • Continually seek improvement in the organisation’s learning and development offering ensuring infrastructure, systems and initiatives are impactful and meeting the evolving needs of the organisation.
  • What we are looking for

    Essential

  • Experience of operating in a matrix environment, partnering with senior stakeholders; ideally with a global customer base
  • Experience conducting functional learning & development needs analysis to assess capability levels at a macro level
  • Experience implementing technology-based learning platforms globally including supporting infrastructure, process, and governance.
  • Experience working with Apprenticeship providers and Levy Management
  • Expert interpersonal & influential skills; ability to adapt communication preference dependent on audience and situation.
  • Strong analytical, process and problem-solving skills including end-to-end and critical thinking
  • Experience in programme managing multiple projects across various geographies and stakeholders
  • Use of data and analytics to inform business cases that will influence decision making at a senior level
  • Ability to take technical subjects materials, interpret these and produce effective resources to upskill and train leaders
  • Desirable
