Senior Manager - Head of Engineering

Orbition Group are currently working with a market-leading professional services consultancy that deliver Data Engineering, Data Strategy & Management and Analytics services to range of large enterprise clients.

Our client is now further developing their team in the Engineering space and is now looking for a Senior Manager to bring their strong technical experience and integrate this into their commercial offering.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing strategic technical leadership and vision for clients, and internally, encompassing data, platform, and DevOps disciplines.
Oversee the successful delivery of data engineering projects
Define the overall engineering roadmap, aligning with company objectives and market trends
Mentor and guide senior engineers
Serve as a Databricks and Microsoft SME for their internal community and as a company ambassador externally - create and deliver engaging technical and thought leadership content

Skills required!

Minimum 5 years in senior positions
Databricks & MS experience
Deep understanding of data, platform and DevOps engineering principles and best practices.
For this position, it would be beneficial to have worked in a consultancy and pick up skills technically and commercially.
