Head of Design – Water Engineering

Working for a National Utilities consultancy, Leading the Design teams across the UK covering several offices.

Supporting various Projects and AMP frameworks across the UK.

Location:- Leeds

Salary:- £85,000 - £90,000 basic + Package

Role:

The Resolute Group have been retained to identify and secure a Head of Design for the Water division for a National consultancy.

The role is leading the Principal Engineers in their respective disciplines and design teams who deliver the design solutions for various projects in the water sector.

Working with Water providers, Tier 1 and specialist contractors, covering the asset lifecycle, providing multidisciplinary engineering and design services, including:

• Process engineering
• Civil engineering and design
• Structural engineering and design
• Mechanical engineering and design
• Electrical engineering and design
• Control and instrumentation engineering and design
• Project engineering
• Design management

Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

Leadership and Team Management of teams based across the UK.

Lead and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Set clear goals and objectives for the design team, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer requirements.

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.

Develop and implement design strategies that drive innovation and differentiation in the market.

Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final product realisation.

Ensure timely delivery of design projects, adhering to quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.

This role is a hybrid position but you need to be in an office 3 days a week, then 2 days a week from home.

The office will depend on your working week as there may be Leadership, Frameworks, One to One meetings or other issues that may require your support.

Required Experience:

• qualified Engineer be it Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical etc..
• of working in the Water sector either for a consultancy or contractor
• license as flexibility is important to meet stakeholders as required.
