About the Role:
A well-regarded school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head of Business Studies, specializing in Business Studies, to join their team ASAP.
Job Summary:
- Provide clear direction and leadership to the Business Studies department.
- Ensure the development and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Business Studies department.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress.
- Support and mentor other Business Studies teachers.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive the department forward.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Relevant degree in Business Studies or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at the secondary level.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining the school’s high standards.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
