LTF Recruitment is collaborating with a Secondary School situated in Derby, DE56 seeking to appoint a Geography Teacher, commencing in September 2024 for a full-time position. The school is committed to offering exceptional support to students, fostering their growth and achievement within a nurturing learning atmosphere.
This is a intially a long term role, until the end of the next academic year (September 2025), with the opportunity of a permanent contract after an initial period.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students
- Manage classroom behaviours effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
- Differentiating planning to meet a range of needs
- Monitor and assess student performance so that targets can be set for individual student improvement
- Attending weekly CPD sessions within school training programme
Candidate Requirements:
- Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs Welcome)
- Is confident teaching both KS3 and KS4 Geography
- Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies
- Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make progress
- An Enhanced DBS & two references are a requirement for this role
