A little bit about the opportunity…

Carl Haytree is looking to recruit a General Manager who ideally has hotel management experience to lead the team and drive the continued growth of The Goddard Arms.

Nestled in the heart of Swindon’s old town, The Goddard Arms is a converted coaching inn - rich with period features and character, offering a complete hospitality experience with a Pub & Dining menu, two Dark Kitchen menus, CAMRA recognised cask ales, 17 hotel rooms, sports viewing, a garden area, and a separate function room for private events.

Boasting a robust weekend trade and a dedicated team of 35, including an experienced Kitchen Manager and two Deputy Managers (currently recruiting a 3rd). There is a real opportunity to drives sales further through the development of additional reasons to visit as well as the continued sales development of the rooms sales.

Our ideal General Manager will excel in people management, demonstrate a passion for business growth, and effectively oversee all KPI metrics through strong leadership, you will be able to correctly priorities the times to work on the business as well as work in it.
