A little bit about the opportunity…

The George sits on the edge of the village green at the heart of the Bilton Village. Bilton itself is an affluent area a couple of miles from Rugby town centre, with over 6000 residents, a couple of independent pubs, local shops and a village bakery – It’s a thriving community.

The George is a great community pub with a very strong food trade and famous for its Sunday lunches and great real ales! The pub is zoned and has a clearly defined dining and bar area. After recently undergoing a format change from Pub & Dining to Proper Pub the new General Manager will has a great opportunity to take the business further.

We are looking for a General Manager who really knows how to make a community pub tick! You will have a real passion for everything local, ensuring that The George firmly sits at the heart of the village and continues to be the social hub of the community.

In addition to your community spirit, we need you to be a great sales builder, with the ability to create additional reasons to visit. Currently the George has a well-supported quiz weekly and sports viewing but there is always room for a little more fun!

If you have proven experience within a similar style business, the ability to lead a fantastic, well established and engaged team and the confidence to drive sales whilst delivering exceptional operating standards – This may be just the ticket!
