As General Manager, you’ll inspire the cast at Gotham to ensure our guests have a unique experience at this spectacular destination. Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll be driving forwards a successful operation to continue exceeding our guests’ expectations.

For the General Manager, key competencies and knowledge areas include:

  • A strong background in Food and Beverage: we are on the map of Manchester’s foodie scene, offering exquisite afternoon teas and dining experiences. We also host speakeasy-style event spaces and an exclusive VIP lounge
  • The ability to lead and engage a team, providing guidance and direction towards 5* guest care
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the capability to drive profitability forward
  • People skills: you’ll get the best out of Gotham’s cast with trust, clear communication and the ability to motivate different people
  • The ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

    • The General Manager’s responsibilities will be:

  • Leading and developing a vibrant and diverse workforce, getting involved in recruitment, learning and development, employee relations and team engagement initiatives
  • Delivering 5* guest care: ensure managers establish quality control standards for all products and services offered by Hotel Gotham
  • Controlling and monitoring the hotel operations across multiple outlets
  • Meeting and exceeding department and hotel targets, monitoring a variety of hotel systems alongside clustered support functions
  • Controlling costs and productivity
  • Outperforming the market in our specific segment and ensuring that fair share is always exceeded
