General Manager in London

We’re searching for a General Manager at one of the most beloved neighbourhood wine bars in South London. Tap & Bottle is a hidden gem within London Bridge’s Southwark Quarter with 80 wines of offer by the glass and an extensive and ever changing curated range of wines by the bottle on offer.

ROLE : General Manager

LOCATION : Tap & Bottle, London Bridge

POSITION : Full time, competitive salary with benefits

HOLIDAY : 25 days plus Bank Holidays annually, increasing to 28 days after 2 complete years. An extra day to enjoy celebrating your birthday

REPORTS TO : Site Operations Director

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Inspire guests & team alike with your passion for wine
• To coach, mentor and train floor staff
• Plan and arrange the monthly roster for Supervisors and Floor staff for daily sales opening, tastings and events
• Liaise with directors to ensure consistent reporting, service standards & driving growth of the business
• Manage supplier relationships for wine deliveries, stock control & profitability

Requirements

• Genuine passion & dedication for hospitality and service of the highest standards

• Empathic communication skills to work with a diverse array of guests and colleagues
• Experience working in wine led, independent venues with a focus on service & sustainability
• Knowedge of food, products and pairing alongside standards of safety & hygiene
• Fluency of spoken & written English
• ​​At least two years experience in a similar role working with wine
• Dynamism to drive the business through a variety of revenue streams
• Interpersonal communication & leadership skills
