We've got a rare opportunity to join us as interim General Manager for our Liverpool properties for 6 months.
This is a wonderful chance for anyone who has ambitions to become a General Manager or would like to explore how their existing leadership skills might fit a senior operational role.
You'll be responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of the Liverpool properties, with 220k visitors per annum and unique heritage at their core.
You’ll manage the property leadership team, leading from the front, inspiring and motivating your team, you’ll encourage innovation and turn the strategy into daily operations.
Hours: Full time 37.
5 hours per week, includes weekends and bank holidays as part of a duty management rota
Salary: £44,499pa
Contract: Fixed term for 6 months

What it's like to work here
The Liverpool properties comprises Speke Hall, The Beatles’ Childhood Homes and The Hardmans’ House and Collection.
Our offer is unique, and so is the team that work here.
You'll lead a team of 40 staff and 100 volunteers across the portfolio, working with our regional and national specialist teams, and skillfully moving between operations and strategy.
We’re currently building local partnerships and working to make our offer at Speke more accessible to our most local communities, as well as actively working to conserve the Hardman’s collection to make it publicly accessible.
At the Beatles’ Childhood Homes you’ll be working closely with internal and external partners to champion these internationally important properties.
What you'll be doing
You'll manage several Heads of Department, each with their own specialty – from gardens to facilities, visitor experience and collections care – and will work with regional commercial and let estate teams and an expert group of regional consultants.
You'll bring your motivational style to encourage your team to succeed across all areas to build the funds to invest back into further conservation and development.
You'll focus on providing inspirational leadership for staff and volunteers; the ongoing development of a great visitor experience with a focus on customer service.
You'll manage risk and compliance; champion conservation – nature, buildings and collections.
You’ll champion on-going work at Speke to build deeper connections with our local community; you’ll act as client of a Hardman’s collection project, supporting our desire to conserve the collection and increase its accessibility.
You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to continue the exceptional visitor experience we offer at the Beatles’ houses, with a high profile in the Liverpool tourism sector.
