General Manager in Gloucester

The Cut in Gloucester MA is a 22,000 sq ft facility with a 150 seat gastro pub and 500 capacity venue for live entertainment and private rentals. Opened in January 2024, it has quickly established itself as a truly unique multi-purpose food and entertainment destination north of Boston.

Great opportunity (salary and equity) for an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee its restaurant, bars, private rental facilities and entertainment venue. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, is a leader who instills high standards while inspiring a large team of passionate individuals.

This position reports directly to owners and would be an integral part in developing overall strategy and execution. Our team came together to build a very special and unique venue where we celebrate music, great food and community. We are looking for a strong leader who shares our passions and is inspired by a challenging but fun and exciting environment.

Responsibilities
Operations Management: Manage day to day operations and staff, including hiring, training and scheduling. Provide the team with an inspired mission and through strong leadership, coaching and communication, develop a culture of service, respect, efficiency and hard work. Deliver a memorable customer experience. Develop and manage win win relationships with vendors and suppliers

Financial Management: Working closely with ownership and finance to review monthly financial performance and key metrics. A key contributor to pricing strategies, promotions, marketing activities and cost controls that achieve financial goals. Responsible for managing expenses, monitoring inventory, analyzing performance and identifying opportunities to improve margins. Full P&L responsibility.

Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, labor laws and licensing requirements.
