General Manager in Glasgow

The Job

As General Manager you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day running of this locally-based establishment, the business requires a “fully hands-on” approach as GM you will report to the Group owner and CEO. The company are in a very exciting time of expansion, and they see this General Manager appointment as one that will hopefully lead to continued accolades and awards for this out-of-town establishment. We are ideally looking for the right individual to run this property as if it was their own. As General Manager you will be expected as part of the job to comply with all licencing laws, health and safety, HCCAP and food allergies within the establishment. The job requires that commercial and prudent approach in all areas of staffing and wage GPs, especially during these new trading "Times" within the Hospitality Industry. The focus must be on "Customer Service and Health and Safety within the establishment thus taking the steps to maximise consumer confidence and building step-by-step consumer traffic, having the right staff training and levels on board to meet customer needs and requirements is a high priority in these new "Hospitality Trading Times".

Going forward under the new Leadership we are looking for this new General manager to continue to push forward this venue as a great place to meet, eat stay or work. As part of the appointment, there will be a full management induction and handover in line with the new appointment needs and requirements 

The Person

Ideally, we are looking for an established General or Deputy General Manager from a similar background or indeed we would consider a Restaurant and Bar Manager !!! This appointment is not only about knowledge, experience, and skill it is also about a way of life that is community focused. Applying candidates might well be from an existing environment that unfortunately owing to recent trading have found themselves having to look externally or indeed individuals now at a crossroads looking for a new challenge. Applying candidates must hold full accredited licencing qualifications such as PLH (Personal Licence Holder) Certificate and be able to highlight a structured and sustainable career background to date.
