Salary: £24,883.56 (plus overtime)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated General Farm Worker to join our team at the Llysfasi site of Coleg Cambria. This role is essential for smooth operation of our farm activities, focusing on supporting the milking of our dairy herd and a variety of livestock and machinery operations, under the guidance of our Farm Manager.

You will be part of a work rota normally 10 days on and 4 days off (including 1 weekend off).

  • Responsibilities:

    The General Farm Worker will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive array of farm duties. This includes the milking process, livestock husbandry, and the operation of farm machinery. You will contribute to our commitment to high standards by maintaining clean work areas and ensuring the health and welfare of our animals are upheld consistently. A crucial aspect of this role involves supporting our educational mission. You will work closely with lecturers to facilitate practical, hands-on learning experiences for our students, ensuring that all farm tasks are executed with educational outcomes in mind. The role demands flexibility and collaboration with other farm team members to manage farm activities such as feeding and other duties efficiently and effectively.

    Essential Requirements

  • Recent industrial experience in agriculture

  • Able to operate a range of agricultural machinery

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in livestock and crop production, including milking

  • Can establish effective working relationships and is a strong team player

  • Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
