Job Description: Senior Front End Developer (Expertise in Vue, D3 and React)

Mastek is set to deliver a high-profile program for a central government department.

The program represents the next generation of the UKs biometric capability replacing and integrating with legacy systems and other departments.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, helping to self-organize whilst creating a culture of learning and transparency using relevant agile / lean tools and techniques, removing blockers that might slow the pace of delivery.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and leading frontend development initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in creating reusable components, establishing best practices, and ensuring the scalability and performance of our frontend applications.

Skills required:

Proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role, with at least 6+ years of experience.

Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Hands on experience with modern front end frameworks/libraries such as ReactJS and Vue.

js.

Hands on experience with version control systems such as Git.

Hands on excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Hands on experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, react-test library or other testing frameworks.

Experience with backend technologies and RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3.

js.

Solid understanding of responsive design principles.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional skills:

Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less.

Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.

Ability to mentor and coach junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend applications using React, Vue.

js, D3.

js, and TypeScript.

Architect and lead the development of frontend projects, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and translate them into technical solutions.

Create and maintain common components and libraries to promote code reuse and maintainability across projects.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure high-quality code delivery.

Implement and advocate for frontend testing strategies, including unit testing for React applications.

Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into our development process.

Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

To qualify for the role, you should have:

A self-starter, comfortable working in both process driven and ambiguous environments

Proven capability of working successfully with senior client stakeholders and end-users, quickly building successful relationships and establishing credibility

A passion for digital and technology, with the drive and determination to continually learn new things and develop yourself and others

Good written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
