Fire Safety Lead

Job Type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP – Subject to clearance

Duration: Permanent

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Depending on experience

Location: Derby

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Applicants must have experience of the following:

• Ability to gain SC clearance
• Highly regulated industry experience, ideally nuclear
• Minimum Diploma in relevant field
• Member of a recognised professional fire institute
• Knowledge of regulatory reform (fire safety) order 2005, Approved document to part B of the building regulations and BS 9999
• Experience with the design and deployment of fire safety management systems

Ideally applicants should also be:

• Degree qualified

Role information:

• Provide advice and guidance on fire safety requirements and standards to relevant stakeholders
• Provide design and build assurance to infrastructure projects
• Ensure regulatory fire safety requirements are met in the design and modification of new and existing facilities and infrastructure
• Assure the safe operation, inspection and maintenance of the fire safety equipment and ensure it is available at all points throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide guidance and advice to responsible persons to ensure the correct level of fire safety provisions are met
