Our client is a highly successful Facilities Management group, with a strong track record of growth and a supportive Private Equity shareholder. The business has diversified into a number of complimentary high-growth service areas, through both acquisition and by developing existing divisions, with group revenues now in the region of £350m.

Description

To help centralise and expand the FP&A function, the business is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to support commercial finance for the Group. In a newly created position, the role will report to the Director of Group Reporting. Key duties include FP&A, KPI analysis, budgeting & forecasting, Excel modelling and ad hoc analysis. You will maintain frequent dialogues with the business units while drawing insights from data analysis to support the senior management team. This role will be a core member of the finance team and will business partner members of the senior leadership team and stakeholders within the group, such as specifically working with both the Group Financial Controller and Director of Group Reporting on ad hoc tasks when necessary. This position requires a strong grasp of the foundations of commercial finance, as well as proven experience of analysis and maintaining and improving processes. Exposure to different financial systems will be a strong advantage, including experience in adapting and enhancing systems across a number of autonomous operating entities with different business models. The ability to communicate concisely, clearly and persuasively is essential, whether in writing or verbally.

Skills

Candidates for this Financial Analyst role will need to be qualified accountants with post-qualified experience in FP&A or a broader commercial finance role. You will need to be inquisitive, hardworking and ready to address any task you’re presented with. Candidates will need to be able to work autonomously and as part of a team while keeping up in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Candidates should be highly competent with Excel and have the technical skills necessary to manipulate data within financial models.
