Finance Paralegal - Leading UK Law Firm - London

Taylor Root have partnered with an leading UK law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join their market leading Finance team. This position is being offered on a permanent basis and will be based in the firms London office.

The Firm

A leading London based law firm, our client has a successful reputation for a unique combination market leading practice areas and well known client base, of whom, you will often find dominating their respective markets. The firm's practice areas are all ranked highly by the Legal 500 and Chambers, with Corporate, Finance and Funds being highlights.

The Team

The finance team focus on complex, cross-border finance transactions rather than volume financing work and advise in the following core areas: Leveraged finance, fund finance, restructuring & insolvency, structured finance, real estate finance and derivatives.

The Role

If successful, your primary role will be to assist team members in relation to a variety of finance transactions including on:

• Preparing and compiling conditions precedent documentation (e., board minutes, shareholder resolutions, and directors' certificates).
• Producing revised drafts of finance documents by referencing previously negotiated and agreed versions.
• Reviewing company searches and completing company search review forms.
• Managing signing and closing arrangements for financing transactions (including drafting completion agendas, coordinating signatories, checking directors' quorum, and arranging the execution of finance documents).
• Coordinating with overseas lawyers for completion arrangements.
• Registering security interests.
• Preparing post-completion documentation bibles.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is seeking an experienced banking or finance paralegal. It is not required you have experience in all areas of finance the team covers, but you will need experience in at least one (ideally more). This experience will have been gained at a leading city based firm in London.

Route to Qualification

The firm encourage Paralegals to apply for their training programme. This will become available after 6 months of employment and you will be eligible for the TC or SQE (candidate preference). This is a rare opportunity with fantastic progression within to work towards your qualification.
