Finance Officer in Pogmoor

Penderels Trust has an opportunity for someone to join our BARDS Team. You will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our customers. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.Location: Barnsley, S75 2BLSalary: £22,011 per annumHours: 37 hoursWorking Days & times: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pmClosing Date: Tuesday 16th July 2024Interview dates: Interviews will take place face to face or via video conferencing software. Further details will be discussed with applicants who are shortlisted (Please check your junk/spam folders)The Role - Your main duties will include: * Monitoring and updating customer account information and reconciling information with finance reports. * Processing timesheets, recording annual leave and bank holiday rates. * Processing invoices for services provided to the customer. * Inputting new customer information for payroll services. * Identifying and resolving queries effectively. * Calculating and processing funds that need to be returned to local authority or other funding bodies and liaise with their finance teams as appropriate.Skills, Experience and Qualification - We are looking for someone with the following attributes: * Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment * Ability to input and maintain accurate data records * Ability to manage workload effectively * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative * Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines * GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook) * A qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable.Perks: Employee assistance programme / Subsidised car breakdown cover / Flexible half day finish (For full time staff) / 23 Days annual leave plus bank holidays (Increased entitlement with length of service) / 2 Additional leave days in December (After 12 months’ service) / Death in Service benefitPenderels Trust is a Disability Confident Employer and will offer a guaranteed interview to disabled candidates who meet the job specification
