Job Title: Finance Officer

Salary: circa. £22k (£33k full time equivalent)

Location: Sissinghurst

Contract: Part Time (25 hours a week), 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Grafton Banks Finance in Kent are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our client's team on a part-time, fixed-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support, ensuring accurate and timely financial management, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations and legislation.

The Role:

• Manage cash flow, cash book, and credit cards, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions
• Reconcile credit card statements, monitor budgets, and sign off all expenditure
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank statements and cash book, and provide budget reports to budget holders
• Monitor and review contracts for services such as electricity, gas, water, oil, and sewage
• Prepare year-end reports for auditors and ensure all year-end procedures are followed correctly
• Authorise payments made by the organisation
• Calculate and agree PAYE Settlement Agreement with the Inland Revenue

Qualifications:

• Part Qualified Accountant or actively pursuing AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role
• Excellent numeracy, written and computer literacy skills
• Strong financial acumen and technical expertise
• In-depth knowledge & understanding of financial regulations and legislation
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task, problem-solve & prioritise effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders in a professional manner

Pay range and compensation package:

• Competitive salary of circa. £22,500 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
• 25 hours per week, flexible between Monday and Friday
• 6-month fixed-term contract
