So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting, opportunity for a Finance Manager or Controller, with a strong background within Financial Reporting and Controls to join YHG as our Finance Manager – Reporting & Controls and operationally lead on our statutory financial reporting requirements.

We are looking for a senior finance professional with knowledge of the Housing Sector, that relishes the opportunity to work operationally with the team within your remit to really own the numbers.

Reporting in directly to the Head of Finance – Reporting & Controls as their number 2, you will work in partnership with both your team and the wider finance function to establish and maintain an effective reporting and control environment.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will have operational responsibility for the delivery and financial control of all statutory accounting activities for Your Housing Group, leading on the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting timetables and activities, ensuring compliance across the full finance team to all policy and year end requirements, including audit management.

You will lead and manage both the fixed asset and group accounting teams, ensuring that all reporting and control requirements are met, enabling the business to provide an efficient and transparent service to all our customers.

You will need to have a keen future focus, able to identify and implement operational improvements, ensuring these are adopted throughout the finance function as best practice.
