Apricus Resourcing are working with a local council authority who are looking for an outreach family support worker for an ongoing agency role, initially until October with a view to extend & possibly go permanent in the future.Within your role as a family support worker you will be working to support families and young people who have been identified as requiring support. You’ll be working within a multi-disciplinary team to help improve their situations, your role will include working with partnering agencies/stakeholders to ensure they review the best possible care.Role Requirements: * Experience of direct work with children, young people and their families * Experience of effective collaborative and multi-agency working to support children and families. * Experience of delivering outreach and home based support to children and families to address areas of identified need * Ability to communicate effectively, using good written and verbal skills with children, families, other professions and multi-disciplinary organisations in a wide range situation and at different levels. * Ability to maintain accurate, reflective records in accordance with Recording with Care guidelines. * Ability to work alone and as part of a team across a range of services including Health, Education, Children’s Centres, School’s Family Support Service, etc. to support parents in meeting the needs of their children.Within your role you will be covering different areas within Liverpool so it's advantagous you're a car driver but candidates who use public transport will still be considered.
