Estimator in Reading

ESTIMATORREADING AND SURROUNDING AREAPERMANENT FULL TIMECOMPETITIVE SALARY PLUS BENEFITSDue to continued growth, our client, one of the UK's leading Fencing Contractors is currently seeking an Estimator to work full time from their South East Regional Office based in Reading.

They are a well-established Company in the Fencing industry.

The company supply a wide range of perimeter fencing and hoarding products, including temporary fencing, timber fencing, steel fencing, noise barriers, gates and gate automation products, to a variety of commercial, industrial and educational organisations across the South East of England.

The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working mainly with large contractors, a proven track record, excellent industry experience, be hardworking, driven and looking to join a growing organisation.

Job Purpose: * Estimating * Generate sales orders for the division * Building customer relationships * Negotiating sales ordersKey Accountabilities:Estimating.

Working closely with Regional Manager to develop the SE RegionSite SurveysOffering value engineering to customersTake details off drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes)Negotiating with customersLiaising with purchasing department for up-to-date prices.

Liaising with suppliers for prices.

Taking incoming enquiry calls.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:EstimatingTaking details off drawings to facilitate estimatingGood negotiating skillsLiaising with the Contracts Manager ensuring a full handover from sales to contracts, and job cost review upon completion of job.

Prioritising workloadYour working hours will be 38.

5 hours per week excluding lunch, Monday – Thursday 8.

15am – 4.

45pm Friday 8.

00am – 3.

00pm.

However, it is pertinent to note that you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the efficient and proper performance of your duties.
