Role Description – Environmental Consultant


Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

· Conducting life cycle assessment on a range of products, materials and processes and the preparation of environmental reports.

· Completion of Green House Gas Inventories in line with current best practice

· Join BM team members on current instructions and contribute on a range of research and written tasks.

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on environmental regulations and policies, and effectively communicating complex environmental information to a non-technical audience.

· Learn the principles of our core services and learn how to advise clients on which core services are appropriate for their wider requirements.

· Develop relationships with clients and manage client relationships.

· Activate and influence a sales process for our services than enables BM to scale up our offerings in line with our growth targets.

· Work with our other technical consultants in curating the scope of our services and communicating them through written proposals for potential clients.

· Drive sales in line with our KPIs and your personal incentives as part of this role.

Blue Marble is an environmental management company that offers a range of advisory services and digital products. Our services include:

· Environmental Product Declarations, Life Cycle Assessments, Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Carbon Reduction and Management Plans, Net Zero Plans, Carbon Offsetting, Procurement Plans, and Carbon Neutral Certification.

· Development of digital platforms to manage Project Carbon Footprints and impact reduction plans.


Experience & Qualifications:

Ideally, 3 years PQE within consultancy delivering high quality reports and managing client facing scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
  • Experience conducting environmental audits and implementing environmental management systems
  • Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong attention to detail is essential given the necessity for accuracy in BM’s work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with sustainability reporting and environmental product certifications (e.g. EPDs, LCAs, carbon offsets, GHG reporting)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and work independently
  • Strong organisational and project management skills


Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Green House Gas Inventory Validation to ISO 14064-3
  • Completion of EcoVadis applications
  • CDP Disclosure submissions
  • Authoring of Net Zero Transition plans
  • NHS Evergreen Environmental and Social submissions
