Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

Are you an Engineering Planner looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?

Ornua is actively seeking an engineering planner to join our Engineering department as we continue our growth trajectory. The Engineering Planner will have overall responsibility for the planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the engineering function and the wider operations team. As our next Engineering Planner, you will be the key communications hub between production operations and the engineering teams, ensuring that maintenance operations are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. You will provide analysis and insight into engineering operations to drive continuous improvement and work closely with the engineering shift managers and stores team to ensure adequate resource availability.

  • Why This Role Is Valuable:

    The Engineering Planner is responsible for;

  • Planning and scheduling engineering works in the production and facilities areas
  • Material and Resource planning for planned and predictive maintenance
  • Analysing productivity and resource data to provide insight and actionable measures to drive efficiency improvements
  • Liaising with the operations teams to estimate workload, and balance available resources with plant attainment goals
  • Continuously evaluate existing effort estimations against actual and refine the planned maintenance regime
  • Administration and control of engineering documentation
  • Liaise with Engineering coordinator to optimize contracted engineering support
  • What You Bring To The Role:

  • A background in maintenance planning or strong engineering background
  • Excellent communicator
  • Computer literate, preferably with experience in the use of a CMMS (Mainsaver)
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
