Workonomics are partnering with a well-known, much-loved, multi -product SaaS company.

They're an established , profitable , maturing business, with millions of users globally , who are growing their London engineering, product, and design group.

A key focus for 2024 is shaping their enterprise offering to go upmarket. They're crafting a robust , compliant product that brings delight to their largest customers.

They're focused on designing a performant architecture , whilst building out new tooling and features around: insights, security, authorisation, integrations, permissions, and automation.

They're now looking for a hands -on Engineering Manager who:

• is already an established EM (this won't suit someone stepping-up in to management)
• enjoys coaching engineers , leading big technical initiatives, and writing code
• has looked after a team of senior engineers before, at least 4 people in size
• comes from a solid technical & product background, working at high scale
• likes being involved in code reviews and contributing to design decisions

The role will start with a hands -on (40%) / stakeholder management (40%) / people management (20%) split, but will evolve to being more people-centric the team scales.

This will suit a data -driven , impact -focused , people person - someone who's a backend -leaning engineer, seen the full lifecycle of a large scale product, and holds a proven track record technically leading senior teams.
