Role: Electronics Design EngineerLocation: Southampton Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Job descriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a small engineering team involved in a variety of exciting projects. The work is varied, and training will be available where needed.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a record of successful projects in one or more of the following areas:- PC-X86- Arm- Interfacing, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, HDMI, serial- Power suppliesExperience porting Microsoft Windows Embedded and Linux would be useful as would experience of FPGA usage and programming.Experience of EMC requirements and design constraints will be expected.The work will involve following a defined process:taking a brief or interpreting the customers' requirementsproducing a detailed requirement specification for sign-offcompleting the electronic design and producing the schematicsCreating PCB layouts using AltiumCreating a detailed BOMLiaising with manufacturers and overseeing the PCB manufactureCreation or overseeing of test routines and proceduresFinal debug and supervising compliance testing.
