Job Title: Electrical FitterLocation: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)Service Area: Service Delivery, Locks & DocksHours of Work: 37 Per weekWhat You’ll be doing:An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Fitter as part of KBS Maritime Locks and Docks team, where you’ll be carrying out Planned maintenance tasks on all Locks and Docks and Service Delivery Electrical equipment.Whilst developing and maintaining positive, open and honest relationships with the customer, you’ll Support Vessel Movements in and out of docking and undocking evolutions, in addition to Re-active repairs on all Locks and Docks as part of our Service Delivery operations.Working as part of a team alongside mechanical fitters, you will be carrying out routine planned maintenance, and reactive repairs on but not limited to the electrical motors, control systems and panels.You’ll Have:Heavy engineering electrician with LV control panel experience, with the ability to read schematic electrical drawings. With competency in carrying out electrical isolations and Lock out Tag Out procedures prior to working on electrical equipment, you’ll also have a current 18th edition certification and ideally have exposure to electrical distribution.Ideally, you will be prepared to support all outputs and disciplines to achieve KBS Maritime contract delivery requirements and evidence the willingness to work as part of team to deliver customer requirements by supporting KBS Maritime team members and collaboratively work toward achieving KPI targets and customer expectations.About you:You’ll be able to build positive relationships, demonstrate emotionally stability, and be confident in your own ability. Coupled with the ability to identify key issues, you’ll also be able to articulate complex data & information detail to internal and external stakeholders at all levels and technical ability.By remaining flexible to an ever-changing changing environment (as some work will work be out of hours due to duties requiring us to work along with the tides), you will employ a customer centric ‘can do’ attitude within the team ensuring that the customer’s needs are met.
