As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and contribute to our success.

The Electrical Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects, including new installations, renovations, and upgrades. Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, you will assess project requirements, analyse specifications, and develop detailed cost estimates and proposals. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and technical expertise in electrical systems and construction practices.

• Tendering projects.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and bids.
• Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs).
• Obtain and review offers and quotes (sub-contractors, materials).
• Building relationships with suppliers, Project Managers, sub-contractors etc.
• Support the business unit Director and report back weekly. Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials, and labour requirements.
• Conduct on-site visits and assessments to gather information and assess project feasibility and potential challenges.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor services, and overhead costs.
• Analyse project risks, uncertainties, and contingencies, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing and quotes for materials and services.
• Develop and present detailed proposals, bid packages, and cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documents, and update internal databases and systems accordingly.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing benchmarks to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

• An electrical background with a minimum of 18th Edition, C&G apprenticeship, ideally electrical design 2396 or equivalent.
• ECS Gold Card holder (minimum 3 experience with estimating / accurate quotes).
• IT literate (able to do basic electrical circuit design, lighting and cable calculations - volt drop calculations Applicants must have previous Electrical Estimator's experience and be able to provide references from previous employers.
• The potential candidate for this Electrical Estimator's position must have can do attitude, be punctual and reliable.
