Electrical Estimator in High Street

Electrical EstimatorSalary: £55k - £63k depending on experience, plus Christmas Bonus, Private Healthcare, Pension options, Company events, Phone and Laptop, 32 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.The CompanyBased in East London, the company are a long established and highly respected Electrical and Security contractor. Their client base ranges from blue chip companies such as a premier league football club to government institutions including educational facilities which range from Universities, Schools, NHS Hospitals, critical research labs, buildings and local authorities across London. They also carry out works for a vast range of commercial and private businesses, and they currently hold term contracts for both Electrical & Security services.Due to the rapid growth of the business, they are now looking for a new member to join the estimating team to help them support their current client base and continue with their growth plan.Electrical Estimator - Key Responsibilities: * Tendering electrical projects ranging from £20,000 - £1,000,000 * Leading the implementation of their new estimating software * Working on term contracts, full specified projects, and design & build works * Making sure deadlines are met * Understanding project and estimating terms and conditions * Representing and conducting one to one meetings with the clients if required * Take offs from drawings, interpretation of specifications/drawings to project needs * Dealing with wholesalers/subcontractors for quotations, and making sure they meet the requirements of the project * Conducting site quotations where needed for existing clients working with our estimating team * Handover to operation/project team as needed * Will work to help the company deliver their long-term commercial goals as they grow * Company team meetings to review company needs and goalsElectrical Estimator - Desirable Experience, Qualifications/Certificates and Skills: * Minimum 5 years Electrical Estimating experience * Experience in tendering electrical projects ranging from £20,000 - £1,000,000 * Experienced in the use of estimation software * Electrical City & Guilds / NVQ * 18th Edition (preferable) * Qualification of electrical engineering HNC preferred but not essential * In depth knowledge BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations * A sound understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) * Excellent communication skills * Strong negotiator skills * IT Skills: Microsoft Office (to include Excel) * CCTV and Security industry experience/knowledge would also be preferred but not essential as training can be given.If you would like to be considered for this position of Electrical Estimator, please apply online, or contact Rob Green at David Leslie Ltd. * Electrical Estimator
