Job title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Cheadle, UK (Hybrid)

Security Clearance: SC clearance required/must be able to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.

About the role

You will develop design solutions through verification, validation, qualification, and safety assurance (regulatory) certification phases throughout the V-Cycle.

This opportunity is electrically biased, including modular electrical designs, high voltage power supplies, transformers, and electrical installations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the design, development, manufacture, and testing of electronics hardware and assemblies.
• Engage in the entire product engineering lifecycle, collaborating closely with Mechanical engineers and Stress/Thermal Mechanical Analysts.
• Contribute to the production of deliverable equipment, including Acoustic/Sonar Electronic hardware, radio-frequency antennas, and power & data distribution units.
• Collaborate with the production team to determine installation and commissioning details for equipment in respective housing cabinets.
• Participate in the final production, integration, verification, validation, and qualification of hardware.
• Generate technical reports throughout the product lifecycle to support the final delivery of products.

You will have the following experience:

• Qualified electronic/electrical engineer
• Exposure to the defence/aerospace/maritime industry
• Design experience and understanding of development life-cycle
• Expertise in EMC, CE/UKCA marking, LVD, connectors, inter-connect/cabling, PSUs, and design tools.
