Location: Edinburgh, Witham, or Peterborough (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)

Expected starting salary: £56,480 - £70,600

The Job:

This role will be part of the Global Engineering & Architecture function within the Global Technology Services group. The Global Engineering & Architecture function is responsible for Architecture, Standards, and Governance across the organization.

In this role you will be managing a development team, focused on building out common solutions that can be leveraged across the organisation, initially with Generative AI capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams encompassing engineering, product management, compliance, and risk, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of high-impact projects.

Manage an external development team, ensuring that the organizational SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) is adhered to.

Set the backlog and prioritization of the team, in terms of Features, Epics and User Stories.

Build an internal community focused on a federated development model, to allow for faster feature development of the platform(s).

Be a hands-on delivery lead, develop as well as lead.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Delivering AWS cloud solutions (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS), data platforms and engineering capability in a regulated environment.

Proficiency in Python programming.

Delivery mechanisms including both iterative and waterfall across multi-disciplinary teams.

Previous experience of transforming and leading ways of working in a regulated environment and effectively using JIRA, Confluence, Teams as productivity and collaboration tools.

Ability to build a culture of innovation and foster a strong team culture.

Ability to work across internal and external teams.
