DevOps + Infrastructure Engineer in London

BettingJobs are working with an established sports betting odds provider who are based in London who are looking to add an Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Support the servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Address faults and incidents affecting uptime.
• Understand architecture and service interdependencies.
• Manage security vulnerabilities and implement mitigations.
• Ensure comprehensive observability and monitoring.
• Implement and test data backups and restores.
• Collaborate to triage and resolve issues.
• Provision resources for new projects and products.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Serve as Infrastructure design authority/architect.
• Provide financial forecasts and options for infrastructure.
• Estimate resource impact and delivery timelines.
• Deliver infrastructure per forecasts and specifications.
• Implement configuration management for deployments.
• Support DevOps processes and maintain legacy capabilities.
• Lead transition to containerization and GitOps.
• Research and assess new DevOps technologies.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as an infrastructure engineer
• Proficiency in Linux
• Skills in Puppet and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS and hosted server providers
• Availability for on-call duty one week out of four
• Management
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
• Clear Thought Leadership
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Logical and structured problem-solving approach for both tactical and strategic issues
• Communication
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exposure to sports data or betting systems is a bonus
• Experience with financial, trading, and risk management systems is advantageous
