DevOps Engineer/SRE in London

Location: Hybrid in London, with 3 days a week on-site.

Salary: £120,000 - £135,000 per annum.

Technology Stack: Utilize AWS, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, Kubernetes on EKS, ArgoCD, Karpenter, and Datadog. Our platform spans three continents and multiple regions, offering a dynamic and complex environment to grow your skills.

About Our Team: Our mission is to provide exceptional fractional SRE services to our cloud-managed services customers. As part of our team, you'll collaborate with Software Engineering teams focused on Front & Middle Office operations, continuously improving their platform. You'll be part of a cross-functional global team without the burden of on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to enhance platform reliability and performance.
• Automate processes and integrate best practices.
• Manage and optimize .NET Applications deployed on AWS.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters on EKS.
• Utilize tools like ArgoCD, GitHub, and Datadog for continuous delivery and monitoring.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Support .NET and Java applications deployed on AWS using various patterns, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Front & Middle Office engineering teams to modernize their environments and adopt best practices.
• Automate tools, processes, and fixes to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Assist with the implementation of new projects, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Deliver high-impact end-to-end technical solutions to improve the overall platform.
• Maintain and optimize our AWS infrastructure and services, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

• Background in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, .NET applications, GitHub, ArgoCD, and Datadog.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-moving teams.
• Passion for solving complex technical problems and a love for technology.
• Ability to set clear expectations and communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in asset management is a plus.
• A knack for learning on the fly and sharing knowledge.
