You will serve as an integral member of the commercial team, playing a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy, maintaining cost control and commercial success of the project. Throughout the project, you are required to maintain clear communication with stakeholders and uphold regulatory compliance.Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following skills as a minimum;Risk managementExcellent negotiation abilitiesMeticulous attention to detailEfficient project management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong communication skills, written and verbalIn-depth understanding of property development processesThorough comprehension of planning laws, building regulations, and construction standardsAbility to utilize relevant software for project management, financial analysis, and property valuationIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;Experience in working with a housing-focused property development firmSuccessfully operated on various property development projects with build values in excess of £50mHistory of operating within the construction industry, withholding a Development Surveyor position or equivalent with a minimum of 3 yearsThe RoleJob Title: Development SurveyorJob Type: PermanentProject: £50m various housing developmentsLocation: Stirling, ScotlandReporting to: Commercial ManagerDutiesProcurementCost managementAnalysis of tender allowancesCash management and maximizationAssist in the preparation of land appraisalsSupport the design process to optimise site valueAttend regular pre-start meetings with contractorsManage contracts with suppliers and subcontractorsIdentify and address risks related to the developmentHandling the legal and financial aspects of land transactionsConfidence in presentation and the skill to lead high level meetingsCreating comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for developmentsCreate, distribute, and collect tender packages within specified deadlinesTracking and controlling project expenditures to maintain budgetary adherenceHandle financial transactions, encompassing payment claims and final accountsDevelop and sustain relationships with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholdersCollaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones on scheduleNegotiate and finalize accounts in accordance with budgeted expectations, presenting them to relevant partiesConducting measurements from drawings and other sources for tendering, purchasing, budgeting, and other purposesPrepare, present, and discuss payment claims with external clients or their representatives within agreed-upon deadlinesSupply management information to stakeholders to implement efficient project operations and achieve optimal cost-effectivenessThis is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
