Methods  is currently recruiting for Credit Controller to join our team in our London  office. This role will be hybrid working with office and remote working as an option.

The primary function of the role is to manage debt recovery for the Group. Building and maintaining close links with all customers is key, to ensure smooth running of debtor accounts and encouraging timely recovery of payments.

Requirements

  • Ensure invoices are accurate at the time of issue checking PO’s & billing address
  • Respond to all relevant client enquiries the same day email is received
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices
  • Send statements on a mid-month & monthly basis
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Proactively monitor client accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly
  • Engage with clients to resolve billing inquiries or disputes on weekly basis
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing their queries or concerns related to credit matters
  • Administrative support for wider Finance Teams
  • Ensure all new clients have been onboarded correctly client form completed
  • Ensure prior to contracts are signed a credit check is completed for all new clients & any pre-existing which have not been contracted with within a year
  • Contact payables by telephone/email to obtain invoice payment date ensuring timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments
  • Working with Accounts Team to ensure credit notes and invoices are sent out on a timely basis with accuracy, to minimise payment delay issues
  • Highlight project queries to Account Manager and resolve queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
  • Maintain and record detailed credit control activity notes in the systems to ensure a clear and reportable audit trail is kept of all clients contact and actions undertaken to secure payments.
  • Reporting monthly on all credit control activity and progress against outstanding debts
  • Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to at least GCSE level with at least A-C in English and Maths
  • 2-3 years minimum experience as a Credit Controller in a medium sized private company
  • Experience of working with UK Public Sector clients essential
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good numeracy skills

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Able to use main software packages confidently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Good organisational skills to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internal and externally at all levels
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products essential with experience in Office 365 essential
  • This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
