Credit Controller in Bradford

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of an Credit Controller to join a settled business and group in Bradford. The company are going from strength to strength in the distribution world, the team are looking to add a stand alone Credit controller to help with the 300-400 clients they currently have.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties of the Credit controller will include:

• dealing with numerous small business accounts/self employed traders as a team
• cash collecting - receiving and allocating payments
• aged debt chasing
• review of accounts (aged debt) and credit limits
• credit worthiness checking
• bank reconciliations
• previous experience in a busy credit control department
• releasing orders once acceptable credit limit attained (on accounts that are overdue or close to limits) - comfortable making these decisions
• working in a small credit control team - shared (not designated) accounts
• strong communication skills - spoken and written
• proven experience at building relationships with customers
• ensuring local policies are followed by sites and trade counters in relation to credit control

To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:

Previous experience of working within a credit control

Strong excel skills

In return, the successful candidate will receive the following:

£27,000 - £28,000 base salary

25 days holidays
