The work will be on a range of systems including electrical distribution, specialist production equipment and ventilation systems. Due to AWE's critical role, further technical details of our work are classified. But rest assured, you will be doing remarkably interesting things as part of our expert craft team! Key accountabilities will include: Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment Troubleshooting and fault rectification electrical issues Installing and upgrading electrical systems and equipment Testing and inspecting electrical systems and equipment Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed Following all safety procedures and regulations Prior experience in nuclear defence is not necessary, however candidates would benefit from knowledge/experience of ANY of the following: Planned and reactive maintenance on industrial systems (including 3-phase) Adhering to a strong safety culture and working to industry standards Previous experience in a building, plant or manufacturing environment Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications: Engineering Apprenticeship NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in relevant discipline or NVQ/Diploma Level 2 plus industrial experience A recognised relevant qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC or BTEC Level 3 18th edition and C&G 2391 preferred but not this is not essential as training can be provided You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas, if applicable.
